How does the 585v6 get on when the SNRM drops at night? Some routers seem to hold connection down to zero or even negative - is the 585 one of them, or is is bad at it like the Linksys? However - my previous Linksys WAG54GS was highly likely to lose connection when the SNRM dropped below 2 during running. Maybe 4 would do, only trying it will show. Current sync-time SNRM is 6, so probably need to drop it to 3. The only reason for wanting to tweak is to drop my SNRM enough to add about 400 to sync speed to add 500 to profile. So I'm a bit worried about not being able to get back to 6.2.29.2 if I don't like 6.1.4.3. But the last one doesn't give a clue as to what is inside it. From the file name I presume the first one is v6.1.4.3. I gather the upgrade exe is used to load the firmware. The upgradewiz.zip, the 6143_UK.BIN, and 62H5_UK.BIN (zip). I have downloaded 3 files from the Thomson web site. I believe the last firmware that allowed tweaking was 6.1.4.3. Although DMT can do normal monitoring it can't tweak, nor do logging to diagnostic file. I just got an ST585v6 from DSL Depot and very pleased with it.
